The owner gave us a very warm welcome. The room was very clean and in a good condition. The shower and toilet were very clean as well. We felt safe and could enjoy lovely Morro Bay. The vending machine only takes 1-dollar-notes. Next time in Morro Bay, we will definitely come back.
The place is great! Great location walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and it’s very affordable. The place is super clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. It also felt safe, tons of families etc didn’t see any sketchy people. Keep in mind it’s a 2 star motel so don’t compare it to the Hilton (older furniture, small scrapes on paint etc) but for the location and price it’s an amazing deal. Water was hot in the pm and am and clean towels. All around a good experience!
A great affordable option. Walking distance from everything, but in a quiet area. Everything was clean and stocked. Front desk was very nice. :)
This is my favourite little place in Morro Bay. I have stayed here multiple times and keep coming back. It's two stars so don't expect luxury. But the sweet couple who own it obviously treat it as a labour of love. From the friendly large succulents that greet you like bursts of green sunshine everywhere, to the friendly waves, hellos, and offers of service from the proprietors whenever they see you as they go about maintaining and cleaning. The decor is dated, showers on the small side, but the rooms are comfortable and the location can't be beat. Sandpiper Inn is exactly what those of us who have been coming to the central coastline for decades want. No chain, no impersonal generic hotel. This is the type of place that keeps Morro Bay so endearing to regulars like myself.
A wonderful little Motel with nice and affordable rooms, perfect for staying a night in Morro Bay. If you are a runner, I can only recommend to have a go to Morro Rock and enjoy the beautiful view.
Very close to Morro Strand State Beach, which is picturesque. Also walking distance from downtown galleries, restaurants and night life. Great service and location.
A very clean no frills inn that is comfortable, convenient to main strip, and reasonable prices. I loved the heat lamp in the shower. I will definitely make this my # 1 motel when visiting Morro Bay! Lol, and you do not need an engineering degree to work the shower.
The view from the motel is definitely 5 stars! The motel is basic, clean, they provide toaletries and the beds are in my standards, gigantic. There is free coffee and tea, which is a nice touch. I liked it, very basic, close to the marina. I don’t have any complaints.
